Catherine Mae French

Catherine passed away after a lengthy illness at home on August 11, 2012 at the age of 57. Catherine is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Bruce and their children Caitlin and Matthew and his girlfriend Kelly, her mother Mary Rajsic, wife of the late William Rajsic, her brother John, his wife Kathy, their children Gillian and David, her brother Dan, his wife, Susan and children Jaclyn and Jason. Catherine is fondly remembered by her uncle Roy Rajsic and wife Margaret Benmore, her aunts Donna Lightfoot and Inez Rajsic and her cousin Michael Rajsic and wife Ruth Anne. Her brother-in-law Bill French, his wife Diane, daughter Leslie, son Brian and his wife Jeanette and their children Kayleigh and Charlie, sister-in-law Lorraine Norenberg, her husband Rick and their children Rachel, Adrian and Rebecca and sister-in-law Sara Allard, her husband Denis and daughter Nicole all remember her with great affection. Catherine was born in Melbourne, Ontario on April 8, 1955. Because of her father’s career as a police officer, she lived in many places in Ontario. As a young girl, she was a majorette and enjoyed dance and ordering her brothers around. She graduated from Conestoga College and enjoyed a career in nursing. She married Bruce on August 7, 1982 and they just celebrated their 30th anniversary. Catherine considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment and she was always proud of Matthew and Caitlin. Even at an early age, Catherine was devoted to her continued faith. For many years she had a heart and a gift for women’s ministry.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South, Calgary on Monday, August 13 from 5 p.m to 8 p. The funeral service will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre on Tuesday, August 14 at 2 pm.
