Cecilija Dorna Mikus

Cecilija was born and raised in Calgary and attended St. Francis High School. She attained her Bachelor of Communication Degree in Public Relations and her Diploma in Broadcasting from Mount Royal University. She really loved her cats, Post and Peep. Her heart was big and fierce and had people at its very centre. She had a gift for connecting people, seeing their best and encouraging them to be it. Her positive energy and contagious laughter made her the font of joy in social gatherings. Cecilija also loved music and to dance and totally kept up with the Kardashians.

Cecilija is sadly missed by her family, father Jason Mikus, mother Jennifer Mazer and husband Graham Robbins, brother Julian Mikus, grandfather Julian Mikus and partner Andra McGinn, uncle Nathan Mikus and many friends and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W.

In compliance with the City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw all attendees must provide proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours, or valid medical exemption letter to gain entry. In addition, individuals 18 years or older must produce valid Personal Identification that matches the proof of vaccination listed above.

Interment will follow the Memorial Service at Queen’s Park Cemetery (across the street from the chapel).

All are welcome to gather for refreshments after the service at the SLOVENIAN CANADIAN CLUB,

2335 – 16A Street. S.E. Calgary on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please note that due to Covid regulations the hall has a restricted maximum capacity of 100 guests.
