Mrs. Charlotte Price Evans

Charlotte Evans, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Foothills Hospital. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Fred, her son Arthur, her parents Thomas and Jane Jones, her brothers: Herbert “Towyn”, Hayden, and luean “Lally”. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nellie Jones and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlotte was born April 21, 1921. She was raised and attended school in Bangor, Saskatchewan. She moved to Calgary as a young woman, where she met and married her husband Fred. Following the birth of their son Arthur, August 6, 1960, Charlotte devoted her time to her family and home. She enjoyed tending to the many flowers in her yard, and a highlight of her life was travelling to her birth place in Wales. Charlotte was a wonderful friend and mentor to many people over the years. She had a huge and compassionate heart and touched so many people in a positive way. A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend, please meet at the cemetery gates at 9:45 a.m. Following the Graveside, a Memorial Gathering will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to thank the many family members, neighbours, friends and caregivers who shared in her life and provided support as her health deteriorated in the past year. In Charlotte’s memory donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
