Chere Gail Indergaard (nee Taylor) was born October 27, 1943, and passed away in her home surrounded by her family on March 6, 2015. Chere is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Errol Indergaard; daughters Roxanna Indergaard (Dean Fleming) of Calgary, Alberta, and Candace Rimbey (Shawn ) of Houston, Texas; adopted son Allen Lemley of Grand Forks, British Columbia; grandchildren Breanna Gilmour (Marc Deniset), Kailen Gilmour (Randi Bateman), Ellery Fleming, Jacy Fleming, Ethan Rimbey, Sjoren Rimbey, Amanda Lemley; and great-grandson Orin Gilmour. Chere is also survived by her sister Sandi Dziadyk; nephew Geoff Dziadyk (Christie); and niece, Brandi Dziadyk. She was predeceased by her parents Roxie and Ford Taylor.
Chere was anything but average; always reaching out with her whole heart she drew people in and provided a safe haven. Her legacy started in the “little brown house on the corner” which over time had to grow into the “big green house” in order to accommodate her “chosen family”. She had a tremendous capacity for accepting others and the free flowing unconditional love she gave, brought and tied people together.
“Whatever role she filled for you, she filled it to the brim, right along with your coffee”. As a family, we would like to offer our sincerest gratitude to Dr. Gregory Skinner. The home visits, the counsel, the care and tenderness he demonstrated proved he is an angel with a stethoscope. A special thank you, to his wife Tammy and their two children for sharing Dr. Skinner with us.
Chere’s feisty personality and genuine caring for others left lasting impressions and more than a few incredible stories. If you would like to share your “Chere story” and celebrate her life, please join us on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Community Association (602 22 Avenue Northwest, Calgary, Alberta, T2M 3C6).
“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” - Helen Keller
