Hey girl I often think of you and speak of you often with pride . And Chris oh how much I miss you so much how I would drive in from Lethbridge and spend the weekend shopping picking up a bottle (or 2 maybe  1 for me and 3 for you ) lol and you would always cook my favourite foods enough I could take home  . We would sit around in the evenings sometimes outside and chitchat often about nothing and laugh  . And how you would never ever smoke around me in respect that I had asthma  .oh how we can turn back the clock ⏰ and I could bring back Russ and our “Fur” babies and You.  You were so allergic to animals but here is aunty Chris would love our fur babies and would pay the price with itchy eyes and yet would love and cuddle with them. Well girl at  as I’ll I say I love and miss you and Russ tremendously and big hugs n smooches. 😘

Over 10 years has passed. It's just unreal. Last evening, we (Lori, Neva, and I) were reminiscing and remembering the light you brought to every space.  You will always be missed Chris. Lara.

Chris, you are forever in my heart and mind...your picture remains posted at work and that smile of yours, and remembering your great sense of humour can make any bad day lighten up for me.  I'll never forget you!

Chris it will be a year tomorrow when I lost a sister in law that was both my family and a  good friend I miss our long talks and spending the weekend with you running around and having lots of laughter. I listen to your voice messages often just to hear your voice and it hurts just the same as it did a year ago... love you chris...

Its coming up to a year now without you in our lives. Its been a year full of firsts for us. Our thoughts are of you everyday since you passed either when we are all  together or in our own private times. When I look at our kids I see they have memories of you locked in there hearts. 
Its quiet now, and I know you are at peace. I reflect back at our life together as a family and see how much  love that you had for us. I was blessed to have been allowed by you to walk your journey with you.

Chris I was  truly blessed to have called you my friend for 13 years, you were the kindest and funniest friend. I loved our times together and am so glad our girls got to grow up together.  I feel you are still with us in spirit everyday.  You were there in good times and bad for me and I hope I was there for you .I hope your parents and Emily and Adam know they can count on me if they need anything.  I think when someone as special as you enters our lives, remembering you and the times we shared, keeps you close to our heart always.

Chris my sister in law who meant more to me like a sister and a good friend whom I will always miss and cherish . I Take comfort in knowing that now I will always have a special guardian angel to watch over me. I take great comfort knowing that you and Russ are together again having your moments of laughter and smiles over a glass of wine and a smoke. I still catch myself thinking of calling you only to remember that you are gone and resting in peace. It hurts me to think of Adam and Emily growing up without you and I know you are around watching over them . My dear funny friend.  It has been weeks since you passed, but it feels likes only days ago we were sharing the special friendship of motherhood over a bottle of wine. Many a night we would talk about the trials and tribulations of parenting and no matter what the circumstances, it would always end up in laughter.  I will miss our mother talks, but I will always watch over Emily and Adam and be there if they need me.  Cheers my friend, be at peace.

I want to wish my sincere condolensces to all of Chris's family with regards to her passing. Such a tremendous loss to all her friends and family, but such a gain for "heaven'. Chris stands out as one of the most caring and insightful nurses that I have ever worked with.  She had a very keen eye and natural instinct about people in need.  She always went the extra mile to help people.  She advocated for those who did not have a voice and I can personally say saved many people's lives both physically and emotionally. Chris was one of the best people I have known. She was funny, kind, passionate and just a little bit crazy! June I walked the Relay for Life and lit a luminary to honour you. Chris was the crazy girl from "the hat" who lived across the hall from me at Foothills. She taught me so much in those 3 years as floor mates and classmates. She taught me about life, joy, compassion, hot pot cooking, men, tolerance and laughter. She was always available to talk, share, laugh. 
If I am able to take a small portion of that with me through the duration of my years, I will be honored. I last saw her about 3 years ago when a group got together. She was the same ever present-unchanging- friend I had known for years. Friendships that pick right back up where you left them are rare and invaluable. I am blessed that I had this kind of friendship with Chris. We are all better for having known her and shared a laugh with her. My deepest sympathies go out to her family. I cannot imagine such a great loss, but pray your memories quickly help fill the void.

I worked with Chris for many years in urgent care. When I walked in to work and saw Chris there, I would smile and say to myself " everything is going to be all right tonight". Chris took it all in stride with good humor and no matter what the challenges made it all right. She is deeply missed. My sincere condolences to family and friends.

I send my heartfelt condolences all chris' family and friends during this transitional time. Chris was a joy to all and always had a story or wardrobe 'malfunction' or personal struggle or experience to share. I worked closely with Chris in urgent care and always knew that if I was the nurse clinician following her shift, her outgoing report would be crazy and harried and comical...much like Chris herself.
Chris loved her children and talked about Adam and Emily and yes, their experiences frequently as well. I marveled at what one woman could handle and still with a smile on her face and a spring in her step, motivate and push others to rise up and be better and more positive versions of themselves. I often heard stated, 'Chris...you have GOT to write your memoirs!' I wish she had the opportunity to do that...to continue nursing if that was her dream, watch her children succeed and mature...most of all....just to continue.
I do wonder though how things will shake down now. I for one, will be looking over my shoulder to see what antics Chris can get up to and I envision her sitting back (with a glass of wine) and having a good chuckle at all she has achieved!

I met Chris 11 years ago when we worked together in the Recovery Room at the Rockyview General Hospital. Chris was a rare and dynamic combination of intelligence, integrity, kindness, compassion, honesty, unmatched humor, incredible work ethic, and oh so very humble. She was by far the best nurse I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
My life is so much better because Chris was an integral part of it. Our friendship grew and flourished outside of work and I had the opportunity to meet her amazing family to whom she dedicated her life.

I worked with Chris in Urgent Care over the past 10 yrs. She was compassionate, honest, a terrific nurse, leader and role model, and hands down the funniest person I know. If I saw her name on the schedule when I came to work I knew two things for sure 1. it was going to be an insanely busy shift (especially if she got near triage), and 2. it would be a great shift with laughter and comraderie. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts go out to her family, and many many friends.

I had the privilege of working with Chris for a short time in Medicine Hat ER.  She was great to work with and had a wonderful sense of humour.  I was very saddened to hear of her passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
