For anyone that knew or met Colleen, she was a witty and wise ray of sunshine with a heart of gold. She was the most selfless person, always putting everyone before herself and making sure everyone was provided for. Her cooking skills were top notch! No one ever left her house hungry, and she always made sure there was a container to enjoy the next day.
Colleen leaves to mourn her loving husband, Ed, of 41 years, her two sons and their families, Russ & Ashley, and Craig & Adele; grandson, Jack; her brothers and their families, Mike & Annette, and Wayne; and her loving Father Gus Dominie. She is predeceased by her mother, Mabel Dominie and sister-in-law, Dianne.
Colleen took great pride knowing that she raised her boys to be educated and successful with their careers.
She was an active member of the community when her boys were growing up; she put in countless hours volunteering with Ranchlands Community School and Centennial Little League. When she wasn't on the diamond, she was engaged in extracurricular activities with her boys.
After retirement you could find Colleen at Collicutt Siding Golf Course out-hitting her husband with her "straight and true" shots. Despite his hardest efforts, Ed never stood a chance against her on the course.
We find peace in knowing that she passed quickly, peacefully, and pain free knowing that she was very loved.
Thank you to the palliative care team and the nurses of unit 91 at FMC for being absolute angels.
A Colleen's request a private ceremony will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Women in Need Society: https://www.winsyyc.ca/donate-funds
