I am so sorry to hear this news. Doru was such a great person and feel so privileged to have known him. I am in shock as I have not seen him since Covid. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It’s hard to believe you’re gone. We only had 5 years of being neighbours but you left such a positive mark on my boys about working hard and working toward something. You were often leaving for work when they left for skating at 6:00 am. You always came over to catch up when we were
Outside. My absolute favourite is you asked every single time How the boys were and after we asked you about Kelsea.   your face lit up with more joy then I’ve ever seen. May you rest easy wherever you are. Thank you for being a kind human  and  neighbour.

We are so pleased that we met Doru several times. He was a very kind person with lots of humor. We had such a wonderful time both in Sweden and when we visited Canada. We will remember Doru with warm hearts and lots of love.

Glenna and I are so sorry to hear of your loss, Doru was a huge presence and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

When I first met Doru (30+ years ago) I recognized he was a man of high standards and integrity. Doru was my #1 top machine shop. Doru was always willing and able to go the extra mile to help. He would always take the time to explain any issue or help with a design issue. His knowledge and expertise helped us immensely and for that I am always grateful.

Doru would always stop and visit no matter how busy he was when I would drop by for a coffee. I remember our conversation would span beyond work and we would talk at length about family and the outdoors. I have great memories of those conversations.

He never would discuss business without asking about how my family and myself were doing. Elite Machining was the most appropriate name to describe the business he has built. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Doru's passing today.  My sincere condolences for your loss.   As a fellow shop owner, I knew Doru as a tough competitor, and also as a true visionary with uncompromising values in terms of integrity and quality.  He set the benchmark for the kind of shop we wanted to be.  Elite Machining was and is a reflection of Doru's hard work, commitment to detail, and steadfast determination to manufacture precision parts "the right way".  My thoughts and prayers go out to Karen, Kelsea, the rest of Doru's family, and the entire Elite team.  He will be missed.
