Douglas Murray McGeachan passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He was born on March 18, 1942 in Calgary, AB. Doug enjoyed bowling and watching baseball and hockey. He worked at Superpages until his retirement in 2005. Doug is survived by his sisters Margaret Brietzke and Mary (John) Wolcott, niece Andrea Brietzke, nephews Jamie (Lindsay) Wolcott and Donny (Monica) Wolcott and several cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Alexia and Murray McGeachan and brother-in-law Billie Brietzke. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Heart Foundation, 100, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 or to the MS Society, 250 Dundas Street West, Suite 500, Toronto ON, M5T 2Z5.
