Douglas Hitomi Morishita

Douglas (Doug) Hitomi Morishita passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta, with his wife Winnie by his side. He was born on December 29, 1945, in Vernon, British Columbia, to his mother, Masae Patricia Tamura and father, Norito Norman Morishita.

Doug is survived by his children: Nancy (Jesse), Lorna (Troy), Tammy (Harry), Barry (Jeanne), Brad (Donna), and daughter-in-law Anita. He was grandfather to Marissa (Tyler), Katelyn, Melissa (CJ), Micheal (Miranda), Damon, Landen (Kalin) Garett (Brianna), Kyle (Ruthie), Taylor, Brent, Angelina, and Andrew. As well as his great-grandchildren: Curtis, Carter, Cayson, Brooklyn, Parker, and LeRoy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug is also survived by his siblings: Norma (Joe), Carol, Pat, and Terry (Maureen). As well as his aunt Nancy Kondo. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Larry, and his son Daryl.

The funeral service will held at South Calgary Funeral Centre located at 12700 Macleod Trail S on June 7th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
