January 20, 1937- October 18, 2011
Edith will be missed deeply by her son Jeffrey Rosewarn (Donna); daughter Christine Rooney (Kevin); grandchildren Bryan, Tyra, Joel, Harrison, and Bennett; by her relatives and many good friends in places like: Alberta, Germany, Austria, and Arizona. She was predeceased by her mother Elisabeth Hellmann, step mother Maria Wolters, father Max Hemprich, brother Gerd Hemprich, and her husband of forty-seven years, Peter Rosewarn. Edith was an amazing mother and omi to her kids and grandchildren; staying very involved in all of their lives. She loved mother nature and this often inspired her water-color or pastel paintings. Edith was involved with fellow artists for thirty years as a member of THE GROUP. Her other interests included, curling (32 years), Brownies, Highwood Community Association, golf and aquasizing. She canvassed for many years with the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well as the Canadian Cancer Society. Through these numerous encounters, Edith developed many friendships that have endured for years. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 3:00pm. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to The Canadian Cancer Society, 200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5 or Hospice Calgary Society, 1245 - 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8.
