Edward Lloyd Richardson

It is with love that Ted’s family said the final “all aboard” to our loving Dad and Papa. Sadly Ted’s final few years weren’t spent as he would have liked but he was happy in his world with Alzheimer’s. As his children, we enjoyed our visits with him, listening to stories, often things that never occurred, but he was happy and had superb care at Sagewood in Strathmore.

Ted is survived by his sister Bea Richardson; daughter Susan McKay; and son Garth (Shannon) Richardson. He enjoyed his grandchildren Jason (Betsy) McKay, Kaylea (Clayton) Hepburn, Joshua Richardson, Dawson Richardson, and Spencer Richardson.

Becoming a grandpa mellowed Ted and he would do anything for them. He taught his children so very much and he will be sadly missed, but we are happy and thankful he is with Mom where they are enjoying Happy Hour.

A wine and cheese party to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel, (2620 32 Avenue NE), on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please use the Conference Rooms Entrance.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Ted’s memory directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, (20 Eglinton Ave. W., Ste. 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8).
