Our family is sad to announce the passing of Florence Anne Anderson - wife, mom, grandma, GG, sister and friend. We are profoundly grateful for the rich life she led, and the years of good memories that we will cherish. Florence was born on November 27, 1927 in Lomond, Alberta. She and husband Allan Donald (Don) Anderson shared 69 loving years; 3 children, Doug, Deb and Karen; 5 grandchildren, Shayla, Rodd, Kelsey, Brayden and Amie; as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Desi, Sam, Ava, Bella and Sabina. We learned so much from her - the value of a garden, how to make the best dill pickles ever, and what bird was at the backyard feeder. Most of all, she taught us how to love each other and persevere through the best and worst of life. Florence passed away peacefully at home, just how she would have wanted. She was 90 years old. We will miss her more than we can say. A Celebration of Florence’s Life will be held at Southern Alberta Pioneers Memorial Building, 3625 - 4 Street SW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
