Franz Steiner

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Franz Steiner who passed away peacefully at the age of 78 in his home surrounded by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 40 years, Karin Steiner, his daughter, Christa Steiner, and step-daughter, Sandra Rexilius. He is survived by his sister, Helga Boerner and his adopted daughter, Andrea Makortoff. Biber (as he was affectionately known) lived a fulfilling life, full of his sharp Bavarian humour, good friends and great adventures. He bravely lost his brief battle with Leukemia and was taken too soon. He will be terribly missed by all who loved and knew him. We gratefully acknowledge the kind and compassionate care of the home care nurses (especially Karren), who gently ushered him through his final journey and supported the family through this trying time. We are also thankful for his many lifelong friends whose concern and companionship have been an acknowledgement of his character as a man to whom people were naturally drawn.
