Georgina "Betty" Elizabeth Goodwin

Mom passed quietly at the Foothills Country Hospice surrounded by family. She is survived by her three loving sons, two daughters-in-law, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her husband and one daughter-in-law.

Betty was an unselfish and caring person who positively impacted untold lives in her 30 plus year career as a Registered Nurse working solely in Labour and Delivery. Betty was a loving wife, acting as Dad’s “straight man” for over 60 years. She was fiercely proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Forever in our hearts will be her amazing Christmas baking and custom Birthday cakes as well as her legendary quick wit and wild silliness during family celebrations.

In her last few weeks, Mom received exceptional palliative care at the Foothills Country Hospice Society and the family would like to thank all those involved. At Betty’s request, no memorial services will be held. If friends so desire, Mom would be grateful for any donations to the Foothills Country Hospice Society.
