Geri was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, graduating from Western Canada High School. She then completed her studies at the University of Calgary, graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree.
Almost immediately following graduation, Geri's sense of adventure found her teaching elementary classes in Nassau, the Bahamas for several years. Although she enjoyed her life in the Bahamas, she returned to Calgary and embarked on a new adventure- the world of computers. After completing her computer courses, Geri began her new career at the Holy Cross Hospital and ultimately at the Rockyview Hospital as an Information Management Assistant.
Geri was predeceased by her mother Dorothy and her father Kenneth. She is survived by her sister, Dorinda, twin sister Jacqueline (Jacquie), brother Ken, as well as her beloved cat Charley.
