Helen passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on July 3, 2013 at the age of 88 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Dawn Clark, sons Tim (Maria) Weber and Blair (Anita) Christensen; grandchildren Ashley Dyck, Adrian and Caitlyn Weber, Darian and Cassie Christensen and great-grandchild Malakai Dyck. Helen is also survived by her sister Virginia Ziajka, brother Ted (Phyllis) Ziajka and nieces Jennifer, Sheelah, Sharon and nephew David. She was predeceased by her sister Annie Ziajka, brother Joe Ziajka and son Blaine Weber.
Helen grew up in Coleman, Alberta and moved to Calgary to start a family. She spent 50 + years as a part of the Westgate Community. Helen was a caring mother to all and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She spent hours playing games, reading books and doing puzzles with them. Helen always had a cup of tea and cookies waiting for friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1736 - 10 Avenue SW, Calgary on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Following the service, a reception will be held at 98 Warwick Drive SW starting at 2:30 p.m.
