Mrs. Helena Geraldine Cameron

Helena Geraldine Cameron of Calgary passed away at the Bethany Care Center on February 27th, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Helena will be lovingly remembered by her Son Neil and Daughter-in-law Sharon, and by nieces and nephews in Calgary, New Zealand and Scotland. She was predeceased by her Husband Neil V. Cameron (June 4th, 2001). Helena was born in Calgary December 10th, 1920. Helena grew up and attended school in Crescent Heights, then later attended business school. Helena worked at Cost House and the E.R.C.B. as a Stenographer, until she met and married Neil on June 6th 1953. In 1957 Helena took on a new career as Housewife and Mother. Helena and Neil bought a house in Capital Hill where she resided until 2004 when she moved to the Bethany Care Center. Helena enjoyed Sewing, knitting and all types of needle work. Her and her Mother would spend hours poring over patterns for clothes or the latest crochet techniques or creating beautiful needlepoint pictures. Although arthritis in her hands sidelined her from continuing this type of work, she found a new out let for her creativity in the craft room at the Bethany.
