Eileen was born in Dublin, Ireland and immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1968. She worked for over 30 years with the Calgary Board of Education. She had a passion for Irish Dancing and she could always be found in the front row watching her daughter and granddaughters compete in Feis competitions all over North America. A dedicated compassionate wife, mom and friend to many. Mom truly personified love, laughter and truly was the Heart of the home.
She leaves behind and will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Ray, her sons Wayne (Tara), Raymond (Deirdre), Sean (Andrea) and daughter Sinead (Duane), grandchildren; Molly, Violet, Owen, Clare, Katie, Aine and Shaela; her brothers Robert (Pam), Seamus (Pauline), John (Laura), her sister Sadie(Martin) and sister in law Ann. Eileen was predeceased by her brother Paddy.
A Prayer Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Ascension Catholic Parish, 1100 Berkshire Blvd NW on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.
