With much sadness, the family of Jacqueline O’Gorman announces her passing at 73 years of age in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, following a lengthy illness.
Jacqui grew up in Calgary and graduated from St. Francis High School, and then business school. She loved her job as a senior secretary at Nortel in Calgary. She was a lively, generous spirit who enjoyed, camping, and spending time with friends.
We are grateful for the kindnesses and care Jacqui received at Chartwell Colonel Belcher, St. Marguerite’s Manor, and Brentwood Care Centre. Sincere thanks are extended to Dr. Yuen at St. Marguerite’s and to the many wonderful caregivers at each of those facilities who attended to Jacqui’s growing needs. Their dedication and skills were beneficial and much appreciated.
Several of Jacqui’s long-term friends provided enormous help to her along the way, none more so than Janice De Santis, who remained dedicated and loyal to Jacqui throughout her last years of declining capacities.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, a private memorial will be held at Jacqui’s interment in Calgary’s Queen’s Park cemetery.
