June 24, 1949 to March 19, 2013
On March 19, 2013, a best friend and life partner was lost in a horrific automobile accident. Jim was a man with a beautiful soul who fought with the demon of alcohol and won being clean and sober for the last eleven years of his life. He was an inspiration to many people, especially to his wife Karen who was honoured and privileged to have shared her life and made a home and family with him. Jim leaves behind to mourn, his wife Karen Simon and their sweet dog Yogi; his precious mother Margaret Clark; his beautiful sisters Alma (Richard) Shaffer and Sandra (Brian) Wandler; as well as his two nieces and nephew. Also surviving Jim is the Simon family who considered him their son and brother along with friends and business partners Lester, Fred and Claire. Jim is predeceased by his father James Clark; nephew Aaron Shaffer and his special dog Gypsy who was waiting for him at the rainbow bridge. Cremation in care of Fosters Garden Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
