It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jean was predeceased by her parents Irene and Wendell Lewis. Jean and her beloved husband Larry recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with their loving family; sons Brent and Murray (Nicole), special friend Lara, brothers Bill Lewis and Glen Grey. She will be missed by her nephews and nieces; Debbie, Cheryl, Linda, Randy, Michael, Ann Marie and Jennine. Jean will be remembered by her many family and friends who loved her for her wisdom, kindness and caring nature. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of Flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to The Salvation Army Agape Manor Hospice, 1302 - 8 Avenue NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 1B8 or Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 Street NW Calgary, Alberta T2N 4N2.
