Jean Frances Elmer Gray Richardson passed away after a short illness at the Beverly Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 92. Jean was born on September 15, 1922. Her younger years on the farm were a large part of the movie clips she replayed often in her senior years. As a child, her bad skin isolated her but freed her to become a church pianist by age 14, be an avid reader and seamstress. She raised her son Ron and daughter Marjorie by herself while completing her teacher’s degree. Jean taught school for 35 years, loved to dance, sing and accompany singers as well as garden. Adding zest to her life, she married Gordon Richardson in 1969 who gave her Diane, Allan and Glen to love. For the next 30 years she returned to the farm life she enjoyed as a child and was active in the Calvary Baptist church in Weyburn. We miss you so much Mom. Jean is lovingly remembered by her son Ronald Gray and his children Jason and Jonathan; her daughter Marjorie (Wade) Kerley and their children Jana, Dustin and Lisa; her daughter Diane (Dennis) Gregory and their children Drew, Scott and Neil; her son Allan (Dianne) Richardson and their children Gary, Laura, Paul and Ian; her son Glen (Janice) Richardson and their children AJ, Greg and David. Jean will also be missed by her seven great grandchildren, Mikelle and Jarvis, Trinity and Eden, Amelia, Tristan and Mylo. A private family service will be held. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
