John Nania

John’s passing has left a tremendous void in our lives as he leaves to mourn Della, his wife of 26 years; daughter Katey (Sean); son David; parents Evangelista and Maria (Elly) Nania; siblings Rosemary (Joe) Torriero, Elsie (Vando) Torriero and Gino Nania as well as many nieces nephews, cousins and friends. John had an infectious sense of humour and was always up for a good laugh, whether it be on one of his many camping or fishing trips or in the company of his many friends and family. His passion and love for music has touched the lives of many. With devotion to his children and the gift of music in his soul, John leaves his legacy in the hearts of all. We will miss you John, Dad, Zio and you will be forever loved and treasured. John is predeceased by his cousin John Nania, Nonna Elsa Coltelli, good friend Frank Iannarelli, cousin John Lobello, grandmother in law Marie Hansen, Nonna Rosaria Nania, infant son Micheal Evan Nania and mother in law Jean Stauffer.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Centre Street Church, 3900 2 Street N.E., Calgary, AB on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to The J.D. Music Society, 313 11 A Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1X9 or Hope Mission, Box 85082, Calgary, AB T2A 7R7.
