Walt Mosimann passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on January 8, 2014 at the tender age of 97. He is survived by three sons: Walter (Bonnie) of Calgary, Ken (Bobbie) of Raymond and Don (Marlene) of Keoma; three grandchildren: Tricia (Chuck), Lisa (Phil) and David all from Calgary; and 4 great grandchildren: Faith, Craig, Joel and Jared. Walt is also survived by two brothers: George (Marion) and Herb along with many nieces and nephews.
Walt and his wife Edna were founding members of Pioneer Acres of Alberta and both worked hard to maintain and promote the club. Always active and working with his hands, Walt’s family and friends will forever remember him whenever they look at his creations.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 204 – 6A Street NE, Calgary on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Arnold Alksne officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3B 6A8 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
