It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joyce LaVerne McMechan on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Madelaine, Lynne (Don) and Susan (John); seven grandchildren, Michael, Jamie, Raymond, Nadine, Dawne, Christine and Leanne; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Macie. She is also survived by her sisters Loyis and Fern; brother Earl; sisters-in law Doreen Florence, Lucille and Alice, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband, Cameron; sister Betty Findlay and brother Warren Peterson. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Mustard Seed Street Ministry, 102 – 11 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 0X5.
