Judy - Agisi, her Tahltan name - was born in Telegraph Creek, B.C. in the family home on the winter solstice on December 21, 1947. She was raised in Telegraph Creek until she was 15 before going to school in Fort St. John and then Burnaby, staying with her Aunt May before meeting her future husband, Orville McLean in Fort St. John.
Orville followed her home to Telegraph Creek where they married in 1964 and took on the Marion Family Trucking business. They moved to Dease Lake and raised their family; Lorne, Corrina, Barb, Victor (deceased), Rick, and Tim.
Over the years they spent time in Watson Lake, YT, Cassiar, B.C., Whitehorse, YT, Vancouver, Kamloops, Prince George, and the last 6 years in Airdrie, AB.
Judy did many jobs from hauling freight from Watson Lake to Telegraph Creek in the 60’s to 70’s, bookkeeping for the family business, homemaker raising the family and then after moving to Prince George, she found her passion in homecare, working for many years for Paramed, taking care of elders in their home.
After her husband passed in 2019, she moved to Airdrie and resided with her daughter Corrina before becoming an early resident of the Airdrie Care Community after its opening.
Judy is predeceased by her parents Daniel and Francis Marion; son Victor McLean; husband Orville McLean; brothers Johnny and Joe Marion. Her legacy lives on through her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - whose lives she touched with unconditional love and a playful sense of humour that was uniquely her own.
The McLean and Marion family are thankful for your prayers and condolences during this time.
