Karina Nadine Semkuley-Parsons

Karina passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2015 at 39 years of age. Born and raised in Burnaby B.C, she was very active and beloved in numerous communities. She enjoyed sports, acting, music, traveling and being involved in preserving her Ukrainian heritage through activities at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Vancouver. Karina moved to Calgary in 1999. Here she pursued several endeavors and eventually began her sales career with her father’s business, Micotan Software Company, where she flourished and became very well known and loved in Calgary’s oil and gas community. Karina touched the lives of people everywhere she went and in everything she did. She was truly loved by many. Karina fulfilled her dreams when she had her two beautiful daughters and married the love of her life. Karina is survived by her husband David Parsons and children Alexandra Mila and Mia Anne. She is also survived by her sister Andrea (Mark), mother Anne (Keith), and father Walter (Nadiya). She was loved deeply and we will all miss her dearly. A Celebration of Karina’s Life will take place at the Calgary Petroleum Club, 319 - 5th Avenue S.W., on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Medical Mercy Canada online at www.medicalmercycananda.org, or by mail #6, 1216 – 34th Avenue NE Calgary, AB T2E 6L9.
