Katharina Wetsch passed away in Rocky Mountain House Alberta on December 9, 2016. She was born on September 6, 1930 in Kaltschinowka, Krs. Dimtrowka, Ukraine and immigrated to Germany in 1945. Katharina met her husband Adam Wetsch in Gudenhausen, Kreis Celle, Germany where they were married in July 1950. Katharina leaves to mourn her son Nikodemus (Lyla) Wetsch of Condor area; daughters Erika Fillinger (Victor) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta; and Katharina (Robert) Damen of Airdrie, Alberta. She also leaves to mourn are her 16 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, her brother Johannas Müller of Germany, and many nieces and nephews. Katharina Wetsch was predeceased by her husband Adam and her son George, also by her brothers and sisters, all of Germany.
A Funeral Service for the late Katharina Wetsch will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Foster’s Garden, with interment to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
