It is with much sadness that the family of Larry Yaworski of Red Deer AB announces his untimely passing on November 29, 2016, his 61st birthday. Larry was born to Joseph and Rose Yaworski on November 29, 1955. He received his education in Venn and Watrous SK. During his school years he excelled in all sports including track and field, hockey, curling, football, and basketball. Air Cadets played an important role in his teen years. He was awarded an exchange visit to the Netherlands in 1974 for being one of the top 12 air cadets in Canada. After graduation, Larry found employment working in construction, mining, and contracting. Larry then went into hotel management, and owned or managed hotels from Flin Flon to Edson, and many points in between. Larry finally settled in Red Deer, calling it home. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, and hunting and fishing were his passions. He was blessed to have many good buddies to join him on these adventures. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest, whether it was work, recreation, or travelling the world. The family farm and his heritage were important to him – he never forgot his roots. He still came home this fall to run the combine. Larry is survived by his wife, Myrna Roy, of Red Deer. He is survived by his daughters, Cara Yaworski of Medicine Hat, and Jocelyn (Adam) Arthur of Medicine Hat. He is also survived by Myrna’s daughter, Rhonda (Scott Roxborough), their children, Kaitlyn, Tynen and Keyan and Myrna’s son Ira Vaness and his children, Izaya, Jacob and Ariah. Larry is also survived by his mother, Rose, of Saskatoon, his sister, Margaret (Randy) Webb and brothers Glenn and Will. As well, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph B. Yaworski in 1986 and his grandparents. Larry will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends who all considered him a brother. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Quality Inn North Hill, 7150 – 50th Ave, Red Deer AB between 1 and 4 pm. Please come and share your favourite memory.
