Lorna passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Lorna was born and raised in Cumberland, ON. She spent her career working in accounting with the CPR and then with Gulf Canada. Although she missed work, she spent the majority of her adult life as a stay at home Mom, raising 4 children. Lorna often volunteered with the Church and you would find her spending countless hours at Market Mall. One thing that Lorna always loved to do was shop. You would often find her reading a new book, watching classic TV programs, cooking shows or NCIS. She enjoyed travelling when she could, Hawaii was one of her favourite places to go and after Wylie re-located to California, she enjoyed travelling to spend time with him and his family. One of her favourite pastimes was to crawl into bed with a leftover turkey sandwich and listen to old radio programs especially if that consisted of a sleepover with one of her Granddaughters. She enjoyed talking on the phone, lunch dates, coffee chats, Sunday dinners, crossword puzzles and Sunday school. She was predeceased by her husband Findlay in 1993 and her Daughter Wanda February 3, 2017, her sisters & brothers-in-law, Kay (Jack), Dorothy (Harley), brother and sister-in-law Norman (Margaret), sisters-in-law Jeannie and Etta (Clarence). Left to carry on her legacy are her children Wayne, Cheryle, Warren, Shelley, Wylie and Sue. Lorna loved every minute she was able to spend with her grandchildren, she tried to make it to every important moment of their lives, left to lovingly remember their Grandmother are Matt, Shannon, Jeff, Anisha, Krystin, Nick, Amanda, Nicole, Courtney, Kelsey, Brittney and Thomas. To make her life even more exciting she was thrilled to have two great-granddaughters Lochlyn and Madison.
