Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on November 7, 2018. She was greatly loved and is greatly missed. She was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland on June 3, 1931 to Robert and Isabella Noble. Mom immigrated to Canada in 1949 and met and married our father, William Crawford in 1954.
Mom was a long time Sears Canada employee, both in Red Deer and Calgary. She was a real people person who loved to socialize and dance. Her smile could light up a room and people were always drawn to her. She was a Legion member and, for a time, was a regular at the Kensington branch. She also loved the Calgary Stampede and all of the festivities connected to it. Most of all, Mom loved her family and the happiness of her sons was all important.
Mom leaves to mourn her four sons; Bill and Kim Crawford of Calgary, John Crawford and his fiancé Pat of Oshawa, Mark and Linda Crawford of Red Deer, and Brad Crawford of Toronto. She also leaves a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Jeremy and Jenny Crawford and their children Andrew and Meghan of Calgary, Leanne and Simon Twogood and their children Chloe and Hannah of Calgary, and Lisa Crawford and fiancé Josh of Calgary, Brenda and Jesse Crawford and their children Irelynn and Callum of Oshawa, David Crawford and fiancé Marianna of Red Deer and Ashley and Keith Tyers and their children Selene and Harper of Red Deer.
Special thanks to the staff at the Carewest Sarcee Hospice for their kind care and to her friend Lynn who visited every day. Mom’s ashes were interred at our father’s grave in Pickering, Ontario as was her wish.
