

Matthew Warren Helfmann passed away unexpectedly in the city of Red Deer at the age of 33 years. He is survived by his father, Fred Helfmann; mother, Colleen Witte; stepmother, Beverley Helfmann; twin brother, Edward (Leah) Helfmann; brother, Aaron (Andrea) Wells; sister, Trina (John) Radakovitch; brother, Fredrick (Kayla) Helfmann; Oma, Rosemarie Helfmann; and Grandmother, Edrie Baziuk. He is also survived by Cousin, Cathryn De Carlo (like a sister); best friend, Dan Charland (like a brother); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his Opa, Werner Helfmann and grandparents, Paul and Helen Kay.
Born in Calgary, Matthew attended elementary school at St. Bernadettes & Sherwood, junior high at St. Augustin and high school at Bishop Grandin all here in Calgary. Matthew went onto post-secondary studies at SAIT, where he apprenticed to become a Millwright.
A Celebration of Life will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
