1935- 2006
Maura passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Peter Lougheed Center on March 10, 2006 at the age of 71 years. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Maura traveled to England where she met the love of her life, Roy. Together they moved to Canada, in 1975, to raise their family. Maura enjoyed sewing and the movies, but above all else enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Maura is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Roy, her adoring children; Alun (Lisa), Laura (Steve) and her four wonderful grandchildren; Chris, Scott, Mathew and Graham. She is fondly remembered by her sister Carmel (Jimmy) and sister-in-law Doris (Ken).
A memorial service will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South, on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Human Society (SPCA), 1323 – 36 Ave. NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6T6.
