

Myrna was the second eldest child of Ray and Edna Cooper. She received her schooling at Hoping School and at Foremost. In her working years Myrna worked as an Elevator Operator in the downtown Calgary Eaton's department store and when the manually operated elevators were discontinued she worked as a Telephone Switchboard Operator and Bookkeeper at the downtown store and the Sunridge Mall store until Eaton's was closed. Her leisure time was spent camping, socializing with family and friends, flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, and taking care of and spending time with her little dog Chicho.
Myrna is survived by sons Don Link of Nanoose Bay, BC and Clarence (Barbara) Link Jr., grandchildren Arlene Link, Carl (Annie) Link, and Clarence Link III, great grandchild Emma Link all of Calgary; extended family Jon Seto. Myrna is also survived by her four brothers, Kenneth Cooper (Shanon) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Vern (Sylvia) Cooper of Edmonton, Stuart Cooper of Foremost, Ivan (Hilda) Cooper of Mannville, and six sisters, Dorothea Holland of Edmonton, Adella Nielsen of Minburn, Gwen Christenson of Lloydminster, Darlene Matwe of Calgary, Eileen (Harry) Rathje of Mannville, and Viola (Bob) Rathje of Medicine Hat, sister-in-law Debby (Allen) Cooper of Lafond, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was predeceased by Clarence Link Sr., her loving husband of fifty-five years; her father and mother, Ray and Edna Cooper, brother Allen Cooper, and brothers-in-law Einar Christenson, Enoch Nielsen, Arnold Matwe and Carl Holland.

A Memorial Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
