He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elly, his three children Jaime (Geoff) of Glasgow, Scotland, Ruby (Jason), and Randy (Yuri) both from Calgary. Born in Toi Shan, China, October 2, 1949, and raised in Toi Shan and Hong Kong with his ten siblings. In 1969, he embarked on a new journey by immigrating to Canada. His first job was at White Spot Restaurant before dedicating 25 years of service as a Facility Operator with the Calgary Board of Education. Following his retirement, he stayed busy by supporting his wife's business.
Peter was deeply involved in the community, playing an active role with the Lee Association of Calgary and the United Calgary Chinese Association, serving on the board of both organizations. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Peter mentored the younger generation through his commitment, integrity, and kindness. He has left a lasting impact on the Chinese community in Calgary that will endure.
Peter will be remembered for his easy-going nature, jovial character and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and loyalty.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical and support staff who provided loving care throughout Peter's journey, especially the team at Dulcina Hospice. We are also deeply appreciative of the many friends who supported us during these challenging months.
