Dear Roxburgh Family,

It was an honor to attend to Peter's wellbeing over the past two years.  He was very grateful for the care which myself and all my colleagues from Calgary Seniors South Homecare provided to him.  He had many challenges to overcome during this time and met each with grace and dignity. During my visits I would often find him mulling over family photos on his computer, which I believe provided him with many happy memories.  After viewing the photo album you have provided I see what a family man Peter was, although I already knew that as he often mentioned a family member or spoke of recently enjoying a family event.  It was evident that he loved you all very much. I appreciated Peter's taste in music and enjoyed my many visits with him. My condolences and best wishes to the entire Roxburgh Clan.

Mary Jennifer,Barbra Andrew and Lucille and everyone else, my thoughts are with you today. I was remembering when I was 12 and my own father died, Reg, Peters brother.  My mother was dealing with the loss as best she could and she had a lot of things to deal with as we owned a drug store and she had to get rid of everything so I was sent out to Nannies home and my Uncle Peters  and AuntLucilles  place.  I remember how close I became with Peter, a connection only he and I understood. He always took time to listen to how I was feeling .He took us all camping , out to the sailing club, and to the Stampede.  I was only 12 but I knew he was hurting just as much as I was.  I loved seeing him everytime him and Lucille came East and the times when I went west, especially this last visit, boy it makes you think just how important it is to visit with your family, you never know if it will be the last time you get to see them.  I will miss him terribly and am very sorry that I can't be with the family at the memorial service today.  ~ Ron and Jane

Dear Lucille, Mary, Jennifer, Barbara,  Andrew and all Family, 
Peter meant a lot to me. He was a big part of my earliest memory of life in Calgary and later he became my connection to my Father. Geography and circumstance have a way of separating people and this certainly happened to my Uncle and me. I loved sitting and talking to Peter one on one, possibly over a drink of some sort. Unfortunately for both of us those few conversations are over.  I regret that I will not be able to attend Peter's memorial. I will miss him very much and I extend my deepest sympathy to my Aunt Lucille and all the Family. ~ Michael

My sincere sympathy to all of you. Looking through your pictures brought back so many memories of your family (and pets) during the days in Varsity Acres. May you be comforted by remembering these wonderful family times.

My condolences to Peter's family - Peter was a giant in the hydro-electric engineering business and I had the good fortune to meet Peter and learned much from him during the design of the Oldman River Dam.

We are sending you condolences all the way from The Netherlands where we are visiting family.  My memories of Peter are tied to the Yacht Club..in the 1990's he made the Alberta Sailing Team very welcome at the Club.Two of his grandsons sailed with the team.When I started work at the Club he was a great source of knowledge of the history of CYC. He loved bringing the extended family to the Lobster dinner several years in a row. We won't be back in time for the service, but will be there in our thoughts

I am so sorry for your loss.  It was a pleasure to meet and to be involved in the care of Peter as he demonstrated such appreciation and had such love for his family.  I will miss his presence at Westview Lodge.

My family moved in next door to Peter and Lucille in Silver Springs when I was ten months old. They were excellent neighbours for many years and always treated us like family.  I will never forget all the New Years Day  celebrations we were included in when the Roxburgh clan came over for food and games.  Many of their grandkids were close in age to myself and my brothers so we always had a good time together.  My condolences and thoughts are with you all.

My condolences to your loss.  Peter hired me when I was a very young man looking for work back in 1981 and I worked for Peter until his retirement.  I am still in the electric industry today as it has provided a fruitful career for me and allowed me to provide for my family. For that I will always be greatful to Peter and will never forget him.

Margie and I share in your loss.  Memories of Peter and I when we worked together many years ago comes to mind.  Though we lived at each end of the country, we kept in touch. Sharing emails and the occasional chatter by phone.  Yes he was a Gentle-Man and a well loved man.  He will be sorely missed.

My condolences to the entire family; Peter was a great next door neighbor for many years. I remember his mountain bike and stopping by to take my daughter for a walk with his grand daughter to pick saskatoons and whenever I look at that retaining wall I think of how Peter engineered it so well. My thoughts are with the family.

We knew Peter for many years at the yacht club.  He always had a smile on his face and it was infectious.  He was a great commodore. He will be dearly missed. We would like to express our condolences to Mary,Dave and family.
