

Rachel Blythe passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the age of 32 years. She was a happy girl who always had a smile on her face. Rachel grew up in Creston, BC hunting fishing and being outdoors. She always had big dreams and wanted to see the world. Soon after moving to Alberta, she moved to Australia to follow her love, Daniel Blythe. In 2006, they moved back to Calgary to start their life together. Rachel and Daniel were married in May of 2013 on the beach in Maui. One of the things she loved the most was being in the sunshine. She also loved Bingo, tea and her puppies, Coco and Taz. Rachel will forever be remembered for her unconditional love, generosity, sense of humor and her dancing. Rachel is lovingly remembered by her husband, Daniel Blythe; mother, Lynn Dressel; father, Doug Dressel; sisters, Angela Dressel and Breanne (Cory) Smith; grandparents, Mac and Dea; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her loving Australian family. Rachel is predeceased by her grandparents Rod and Barb Dressel. A Celebration of Rachel’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
