Born in Montreal, Quebec, on August 3, 1956, Raymonde lived a life full of love, laughter, and compassion. In 1996, she and her family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she continued to touch the hearts of everyone she met. Raymonde had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and truly at home. Her warmth, strength, humour, and nurturing spirit were just a few of the many qualities that made her so deeply cherished.
She would give the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her life was centered around her family and friends—she truly lived for the people she loved, cherishing every moment with them. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.
Raymonde is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Alan Rolfe, and their three children: Christine (Darren), Patrick, and Andrew Rolfe. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren: Christopher, Madison, Hudson, Makayla, and Ashlynn — each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Catherine (Dave), Mary (Phil), Monica (Paul) — “The GG Sisters.” She is also survived by her sister-in-law Lynda (Wayne), and brother-in-law Danny.
She is now reunited in peace with her beloved parents, her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and her dear brother, whom she missed so deeply.
Her spirit, wisdom, and love live on in the many lives she touched. Raymonde had a way of offering comfort, insight, and strength just when it was needed most. Her gentle guidance and deep understanding left a lasting impact on all who knew her—and especially on her three children, in whom her strength, compassion, and wisdom will continue to shine.
Raymonde will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
