I have just now heard of your loss...I am so sorry.  Although it has been many years since I've seen Doug, I well remember his smile and his kind, caring nature.  My sincere condolences to all of you, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I met Doug at Smittys when I was fifteen and he soon became to mean a great deal to me. He was always there when I needed to talk to someone and always kept me positive. I lost touch with him over the last couple of years, but I remember how he treated me like a daughter and I will never forget his love and kindness. I know that he touched many lives and I will always be grateful for his friendship.

  Although I haven’t seen Doug in many years my memories of Jr & Sr high are some of my fondest and happiest times.  Playing sports with Doug and Laura still puts a smile to my face.  How everyone would support each other and cheer for us all.  How you and Mr Craig were always there cheering us on as well.  Those Happy Days are etched into my memory forever.

I was saddened to hear today of Doug's passing.
Doug and I were team-mates on the University of Calgary Dino's. 

During that time Doug acquired the nickname of 'Rookie' based upon his easy going nature and constant smile! 

Doug was great to play with, as he was always encouraging others. I can close my eyes and see him flying thru the air after the ball or pulling off one of his classic 'sneeky solo stuff blocks'.

I have wonderful memories of Doug.  I knew him since we were little boys and we played basketball and volleyball together all through junior high and high school.  Doug had a joy for life and I don't recall ever seeing him get down on himself or others no matter how gloomy the outcome.  Although I haven't seen him for years, the thought of our shared experiences warms me even as I feel the sadness over his loss.  

Doug, I have no doubt you had a similar impact on other lives, and I am sure you will be missed.
