Richard Kenneth Purdy

Richard ( Rick ) had a career as a teacher for the Waterloo region district school board at the elementary level . During this time he met his future wife Elizabeth (Betty) Normore (deceased 2014 ). Rick and Betty traveled extensively during their marriage to numerous locations around the globe. This was a particularly joyful passion for the two of them.

Rick was an avid sports fan, particularly the Toronto Blue Jays, Kitchener Rangers and Calgary Hitmen. His passion for sports extended to coaching youth Baseball in Cambridge Ontario for many years.

Rick also enjoyed live theater and if it included dinner, it was a bonus.

Rick will be missed by his Great Grand Children Joshua, Caillen and Ryker. Grandchildren Shane and Tamara, and their parents Barry and Lana Normore.

Rick was a thoughtful and caring man to his family and friends. He leaves fond memories for each of us as he reunites with his beloved wife Betty. May their travels continue forever. God Speed my friend.
