Rita was born in Calgary on January 31, 1982. She also lived in Wetaskiwin and Edmonton. In 2015, Rita found her forever home on Vancouver Island. On the island she found the slower, quiet lifestyle that she wanted. She never wanted to live anywhere else.
Rita is survived by her, parents Noel and Laureen Girouard and her mother Laurie Bentson, grandmother Rita Ouellette, sister Tania (Uton), her nephew Mason and niece Myah as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her husband, Scott McCracken and her fur-babies, Logan and Mr. Poo.
A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
