It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt Ruth who passed away on November 26, 2021. After a short battle with cancer, mom passed away peacefully in her home.
Ruth is survived by her children Gary, Roger (Pam), Virgil and Sheila; sisters Esther Elliot and Isabelle Brace and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Harold; grandson Cody; parents John and Hattie Mills; sister Ilene Kline and brothers Jack and Gordon Mills.
Mom was a devoted wife and mother and was the rock of our family. In her younger years she was an established 5-pin bowler, volunteered for Cubs and Brownies and enjoyed camping in the beautiful Rockies. Mom cherished having her family with her and looked forward to visiting friends at the Calgary Legion, Branch 285.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Ruth’s memory directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alberta Humane Society.
