Sam was born in Hong Kong on October 12, 1967, to his parents, father - James Lo & mother - May Lo. His parents brought him & his two siblings to Calgary in 1972 to start a new life. In his youth, Sam was a natural-born leader and the centre of attention in any environment.
In adulthood, he experienced the same reception from his friends, peers, and colleagues. Soft-spoken and forever the diplomat, he was the most nurturing, thoughtful, sensitive, and generous human being. He was a patient and understanding mentor to everyone who sought out professional advice or his thoughts on life’s lessons.
Sam found much success in his professional career in the F&B – Hospitality Industry in Asia, ranging from General Manager to Director positions in high-calibre venues. He was extremely proud of his contributions to enterprises where he had direct input from the design setup, construction, and launch of establishments such as Zuma and Armani Aqua.
He was a celebrated consultant and speaker who travelled the world presenting his ideas and experiences to global, international companies.
Sam is survived by his immediate family, mother - May, brother - Eric, and sister – Pandora.
As we mourn the loss, we find solace in knowing that Sam is now at peace and resting. Free from the pain and afflictions that were impacting him in his last months. We take comfort in the belief that he has now joined our father – James on their new journey and one day our family will be reunited again. Sam’s spirit and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
Forever Loved
