Sara Boschmann

A Life Well Lived

Sara grew up in a Mennonite community on a farm in Hussar.

All her life she demonstrated the strength of her convictions, a generosity of spirit and kindness in her soul. She was not just the matriarch of our clan she was the rock.

Sara’s language of love was food. Her kitchen smelled of cinnamon buns, perogies, pies and cookies. Furthermore, Sara inspired a love of reading in her grandkids, and instilled a competitive spirit in all.

Sara is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by: her children Teresa Boschmann, Rita and John Bowron, Colleen Boschmann and Joseph Macdonald, Tony Boschmann, and Dennis and Pam Boschmann: her grandchildren Brett and Amanda Bowron, Tim Bowron and Ryan Lahaise, Eric Milne and Jonalyn Camilon, Peter and Willa Milne, Courtney Boschmann, Cassie Boschmann and Brien Davis, Samantha Boschmann and Matthew Fraser, Kyle Boschmann: her great grandchildren; Emma and Jake Bowron, Fern and Wren Fraser, Caius and Soriah Milne, and Parker Davis. Sara is also survived by 2 brothers, Otto Epp and Gary Epp. She was predeceased by her husband, Dietrich Boschmann, her brother David Epp and her sister Margaret Hoffmann.

A Celebration of Sara’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
