Sharon Holley Kunkel

Sharon passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre on January 30, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Sharon is lovingly remembered by her daughter Debbie; son Paul (Gillian); sister-in-law Katherine; and brother-in-law Bob Donahue. She will also be sadly missed by her granddaughters Avery and Keelin. Also missing Sharon, will be her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her husband William Kunkel, brothers Jack, Wayne, and Larry, sister Shirley, and brother-in-law George.

Since 2012, Sharon has fought bravely through numerous medical illnesses. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care from the interdisciplinary teams and medical staff at the Rockyview Hospital, South Health Campus, Foothills Medical Centre and Carewest Sarcee. Most of all we would like to thank Dr. John Carter and Lake Chaparral Medical Clinic staff who have provided our mother with exceptional care the last 20 years.

At Sharon’s request there will be no service but a small family gathering.

Flowers are respectfully declined, however if friends so desire a donation can be made in Sharon’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, (https://www.diabetes.ca/) or to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, (http://www.heartandstroke.ca/).
