Mrs. Shun Yee Lee

Mrs. Shun Yee Lee, the wife of the late Mr. Kwok Wah Lee, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 96 years. She was born in Hong Kong, graduated from the Beleios Public School in Hong Kong, and married Kwok Wah, on October 4, 1942. Together, they had a daughter and two sons. Shun Yee is survived by her son, Bob Kam-Chuen Lee (Anne); her two grandchildren, Timothy and Sarah; her sister, Mrs. Chan Shun Yin Ip, of Calgary; as well as many nephews and nieces around the world. Shun Yee served for 21 years in the Police Department of the Hong Kong British government and was awarded a `Merit Trip` for travelling to Europe in 1974. She retired in 1976 and immigrated to Winnipeg, MB and then moved to Calgary in 2000 to be close to her son and family. Shun Yee was helpful and generous, and volunteered her services to the Chinese community in Calgary. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
