Stanley Howard Jordan

Stan was born 7 January, 1946 in Rimbey, Alberta to Roy and Agnes Jordan. He grew up in Rimbey on a hog and beef farm. When he finished high school, he studied architectural drafting at SAIT. Stan started working for Amoco in 1968, once he finished his training at SAIT. He was employed by BP Amoco until his retirement in 1999. During his retirement years, Stan continued to consult for a variety of small businesses who appreciated his positive encouragement. Stan passed away in Victoria, British Columbia on December 27, 2021.

Stan was predeceased by his parents Roy (1995) and Agnes (1997) Jordan and his brother Dale Jordan in 2021. Stan is sadly missed by his family. Stan is survived by his wife Carol; 2 sons David and Carmen with grandsons Carson, Dawson, Hudson; Dean and Jennifer with grandchildren Janessa (Brendan and Junie), Savanna and Charles. Stan is also survived by four brothers and one sister; Delbert and Madeline, Larry and Mary, Gloria and Luis, Ken and Darcy, Ted and June, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Stan and Carol were married 53 years and Carol remained the most loving companion through all life’s twist and turns.

Stan settled it in his heart to serve God at nine years of age. He remembered playing the pump organ by ear for the gospel meetings at a young age. We can all remember his amazing playing on the piano and wonderful singing. Along with the beauty and disappointments of life he lived by the motto “Keep silent, keep sweet, keep stepping.” Recently, he often mentioned to Carol “I can’t wait to go home.”

Stan is lovingly remembered for his love for life. He was given many talents in the arts, including an eye and ear for design, painting, music, landscaping and gardening. He loved to travel. We will miss his warm acceptance, patience, kindness, his humor and his grandpa’s & Dad's – Roy Jordan laugh.
