Stella Marie Meadows

Stella Marie Meadows passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at St Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 82 years.

Stella was born April 27, 1931. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, and siblings Pat, Labo, Norman, Donald, Alma and Henry. She will be sadly missed by her son David; daughter-in-law Domenica; beloved grandchildren Lucas and Adam; sister’s Anita and Ollie; brothers Sam, Leonard, and Eddie (Paulette); in-laws Tom Bubba and Doris Grassi, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. God clearly needed some help in His garden, and called home a master gardener. Snow also won’t last long on the sidewalks leading to the Pearly Gates, Stella has arrived. Special thanks to the staff in the 3W ward at St Peter’s, who consistently ensured Stella’s final days were peaceful.

A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200-325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary AB, T2E 2P5.
