Knew Susan for quite a number of years.
Very sweet lady. Loved her dogs and , inexplicably ,her cat, Kabuki.( evil personified). But , much loved by Susan.
Will miss her very much. 

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our friend, Susan.

We were next-door neighbours in Calgary to Susan from 1993 to 2012.  Since moving to another city, we have realized how great it was to have Susan next door. When Susan went on her amazing adventures around the world, we took care of Mitchka, her beautiful husky, Alfi, her friendly and cuddly cat, and later, Sadie.  We didn't have any of our own pets so caring for them was almost like having our own. We missed Susan and her pets very much once we moved. We also found out that next-door neighbours aren't always as good the one we left behind.

We felt the sense of neighbourly involvement that Susan brought to our life. She included us in her wonderful get-togethers with friends, family and musicians. We enjoyed the music, mingling with guests, and snuggles of Mitchie, Alfi and Sadie while we visited.

We helped her trim trees and she helped us with a stray, undernourished cat that wandered into our yard to die. Susan loved animals but knew when it was time to let them go to end their suffering.

It was always fun to have a friendly talk over our fence, while the animals circled around her. We had a bird garden, so we had to keep a keen eye out for Alfi who liked to bask in the warm sun on our back step while watching the amazing bird activity!

The Family Eulogy was beautifully written and gave us more insight into Susan's life.  Her legacy is one that will bring memories of Susan throughout the years. We are only 2 of the many friends that will miss her.  The void in the lives of her family will most certainly be there forever.

Auntie Susan was very loved by her sister, brother, nieces, nephews, niece/nephew in-laws, great niece/nephews, friends and all of her pets. She was a lady you wanted to see. My young cool Auntie. She was fun and spunky. She would tell you what she was thinking and was honest (maybe too much ha-ha). 
I have many childhood and adult memories that give me comfort. Some include going to BC in her little car to the Okanogan cabin my family rented, a BC trip to Shannon's cabin and the JAPAN trip for my brother's wedding. Our latest memories were running into each other at Co-op, and then going for walks with Sadie.   There are many treasured family gatherings together. 
 You are at peace with grandma and grandpa, and your old pets. RIP Auntie Susan. I believe you are one of our angels watching over us.  Robin Peel

Deepest condolences on the loss of Susan.  Her Memorial Service honored her memory perfectly.  I was blessed to sing with her during the Mosaic years at Centre Street Church and I was blessed to call her my friend.   Memories of our many practices, dinners at The Apple Inn, chats and our trip to Seattle will be treasured until we meet again in Heaven.   May the Lord bring you His peace as you mourn the loss of this special lady.

We regret that our schedules would not permit us to attend the memorial service, but please know that your family have been in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for the service yesterday. I am sure Susan would have approved of the wonderful music, slide presentation and beautiful tributes to her life. I met Susan when we worked together at Mount Royal College and we connected over lunch-hour walks, often talking about our wild teenage years. It also turned out she had had my Uncle Frank Jordan for a music teacher at Colonel Irving - and she did the best impression of him singing, "There's a kind of a hush, all over this world..." - something that made me laugh and that I will always treasure, since I never saw that side of my uncle. Our birthdays were close together, so we always tried to get together to celebrate - and this picture is taken on one of those occasions. I will miss my friend!

What to say. Susan was such an encouragement in my life. Sing Karen she would say I love to hear you sing. She had such a love of music and her pets and that is what attracted me to her as a very good friend. Many hours of practice and her encouraging Janet to sing louder so we could hear her. I know she is up there singing with the Angels and shining down on us with such great happiness. She would be saying that you all for such support and love. What an amazing gal and a great family.

We will miss Susan. Though we only knew her about three years through the Centre Street Church small group at Pat & Lucas

SUSAN WAS A LOVELY PERSON, OUR FAMILY   LIVED BESIDE HER FOR ABOUT 18 YERS. IT IS SAD TO HEAR SHE PASSED SO YOUNG.  CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY.

Oh, how I loved being around sweet Susan.  Was sad when she left our chorus but she came to watch our concerts & shows.  I always knew there'd be much laughter when we were together.  I loved being the 'middle sister' to Judy & Susan - just for fun.  I miss my little sister - very sweet girl with a twinkle in her eye!

So sorry to hear of Susan's passing.  She brings back so many childhood memories.  Always a fun time visiting the Peel's house, her mom and her dad were such kind people.  They had one of the best gardens in the neighbourhood, fuzzy caterpillars and Boots the cat.  Susan was one of the neighbourhood kids I grew up with.  Condolences to the family.

From our days in High School Drama class and all through her life, Susan was filled will joy and the excitement of living. Susan always seemed to be having a laugh. Her laughter and joy filled optimism will be missed in a world that can seem lacking in both. My thoughts are with family and friends.
