On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in Calgary, AB, Trina finished the encores and took her final bow on our stage. Trina lived her life the way she wanted to and when she no longer could, she decided when to move on by choosing MAID. This wonderful, precise, kind, positive, smiling soul graced our lives in so many ways. She is still dancing, just not here.
Treen is survived by her mother Nadia, sister Deb (Kim), brothers Mark and Jody (Michelle), and nieces Nadine, Emma, and Lauren. Trina was predeceased by her father Walter and sister Carol Ann.
Trina was born in Vegreville, AB, in 1959 and moved to Fort McMurray, AB, in 1970. After graduating high school, she lived for a brief time in Ottawa, ON, before moving to Edmonton, AB, to complete her Bachelor of Commerce with Honours.
Her adventures continued in the late 80’s when she ventured south to Green Bay, Wisconsin on her way to Appleton and Des Moines, Iowa.
In 1990, after winning an acting competition, Treen’s scholarship allowed her to make the move to Los Angeles, California and pursue her lifelong dream to become an actress.
Her LA comedy persona Baba Baraboulya received Honorable Mention at the 2017 West Hollywood Fringe Festival.
A Living Wake was previously held. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Rosedale Hospice through their website at https://www.hospicecalgary.ca/support/donations/.
Trina will be forever missed by her many family and numerous friends everywhere.💕
